A better rechargable battery is now available

These are Ni-Mh batteries, but the technology has been improved. They are good for 1500 charge cycles and unlike previous generations of this technology, they will maintain a usable charge for up to three years in storage. I don't know what the prices are like, but you can safely assume that they are not cheap. Currently only "AAA" and "AA" sizes are available, which satisfies most uses for rechargable batteries. I wish they made a "D" cell. Maybe in the future.

Goot to watch the milliamps on D sized batteries. If they are 1200 they it is just a rechargable AA battery in a D size package.

Yea, I don't buy energizer batteries anymore for that same reason.
