Thomas Sowell has my undying respect as a truthseeker, economist, and social commentator. Anybody who reads his books or listens to an interview with him is guaranteed to be smarter for it.

I've always enjoyed Sowell's columns.  He also wrote two interesting books inspired by his son.  The first one was "Late Talking Children".  It's was about children like his son who appeared autistic, but often ended up doing well and going on to college in areas like computer programming, engineering, science and the like.

My favorite book of his to date is "The Vision of the Annointed". "Economic Facts and Fallacies" is next on the "get" list.
