Out most of the day
« on: February 27, 2010, 12:22:05 PM »
Sorry folks who are waiting for me to answer various questions...

I've got some chores for the day that need my attention, including possibly rounding up help for someone in Chile who was probably impacted by the massive earthquake.

I'll try to check in during the evening.

I hope you've gotten word about your friend; I'm very sorry. It sounds just awful down there. Lots of prayers going out today.

No word.  sad23  Not surprising. Power is probably out.

I am consoling myself with probabilities. Death toll so far is low compared to the total population, which is amazing considering how hard it shook. They had aftershocks worse than earthquakes in parts of central Eurasia that take out tens of thousands. I would guess that a lot of infrastructure is knocked out and life is hard at the moment.

Young family. Hope they're OK.
