Saudi Arabians starting to wonder what they'll do next

I think it is a tad late to start thinking about a "diversified economy". I know that the standard of living in Saudi Arabia has been in decline for over a generation; I wonder what happens when it hits some threshold of disenchantment, and you have many millions of poor people ruled by a few thousand decadent pampered princes. Hmm....

Place your bets: who will fall first, the saudis or the americans?  Both a riding a wave of past performance similar to the brits before their demise.  If the story of the brits is anything to go by, the decline can be decades long before residents acknowledge it (In fact some Brits still think the sun never sets on their empire).
