Tonight's Dinner
One leek
4-5 medium cloves garlic
1 C soaked Split Peas (6-8 hours soaking)
2 medium potatoes
One Carrot
One Thai Chile pepper or whatever floats your hot boat
tsp Sage
2-3 Tbl Bernard Jenson's seasoning
Small Handful of Cilantro
Saute leeks and garlic
when soften, add split peas, diced potatoes, carrot,
Jenson's seasoning and Cilantro
and add 4-5 C water depending on how thick you want the soup
Cook about 25 minutes tasting to see when soft
Add salt, pepper and sage and let simmer another 10 mintues.
Put in blender (preferably a Vitamix blender) and viola~
(I also added a little extra homemade hot sauce in my bowl; I love the Heat!)
