I really like slow cookers. I like to have dinner ready without my fussing over it. Slow-cooking is usually fool-proof too. Nothing burns, boils over, etc. If I can think of something suitable, I like them for entertaining guests, so that I can give my guests attention, without worrying about a disaster trying to get supper on the table.

I like the pots without electronics. First of all, they're a lot cheaper, and second, they'll last a lot longer. All you need is "off", "low", and "hi".
We're running out of petroleum. Are you ready?
